The Nigeria bidding to host the 2019 World Para Powerlifting Championships with Lagos as the host city is now a success as International Para Powerlifting Committee has granted Nigeria the 2019 hosting right to bring the entire Para Powerlifting World together in Lagos Nigeria .
In a confirmation statement from Jorge Moreno World Para Powerlifting Senior Manager of the International Paralympic Committee to the President of Nigeria Para Powerlifting Federation Ms Queen Uboh, the letter reads:
"World Para Powerlifting would like to thank the Nigeria Paralympic Committee and the Nigeria Para Powerlifting Federation for their application to host the Nigeria 2019 International Para Powerlifting Competition from 28-30 January 2019 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria. On behalf of the World Para Powerlifting, I am writing to confirm the approval of your competition application"
World Para Powerlifting looks forward to working with you to finalize all the details and requirements as outlined in the application to host a very successful competition to heighten the success of Para Powerlifting in Nigeria and to further support the development of the sport across the region"
Hence, with this latest development Ms Queen Uboh the Federation President has confirmed that Nigeria will be hosting the world of Para powerlifting athletes come January 28th 2019.
Pertinent to note that Nigeria 🇳🇬 Para powerlifting Federation is rated the best in the world 🌎 and with this approval to host 2019 Para Powerlifting World Championship, Nigeria has again made its mark among the global communities.
