Kia has developed a record-breaking crossover vehicle which recently won the Guinness World Record title for being the lowest fuel consumption vehicle. According to the Vanguard, the Kia Niro set an official record of 76.6 miles per gallon (mpg) which when compared to the regular cars of at most 50 mpg, is still record-high.
“We’re extremely pleased with the Niro’s record-breaking performance,” Vice President, Product and Planning at Kia Motors America Orth Hedrick said. He also reiterated... “We set out to build a vehicle that offers real-world utility, great looks and fantastic mileage, and setting the Guinness World Record title confirms our achievement.”
The Niro doubles as a hybrid car and a test drive was organized in the US with Wayne Gerdes of Carlsbad, California driving the EX version and Robert Winger of Williamsburg, Virginia through a distance of about 3,715 miles (approximately 5, 979 km) from Los Angeles City Hall to New York using only 48.5 (about 184 litres) of fuel.rriving at New York City Hall in downtown Manhattan, (hybrid car).
