WHY STARS SNUBBED BALLON D'OR CEREMONY

The Ballon d'or gala was held last night in Paris, the Capital City of France but notable absentees was recorded as many stars didn't turn up for the occasion.

Winner Cristiano Ronaldo was on a trip to Japan for the Club World Cup and Runner -up Lionel Messi was with club Barcelona in Arab for a deal friendly match with Arabian club Al Alhy were notably and unavoidably absent as the gala recorded one of its worst nights ever.

Antoine Griezmann couldn't make it to the gala also as he was on the match-day squad for his club Atletico Madrid who were playing their La Liga game with in-form side Villarreal.

However, the gala took place but the paparazzi was quite empty and they never had anything to hold down with.
