COPA DEL REY QUARTER FINAL FIXTURES

The  LFP has released the results of the draws conducted for the Quarter-final round of the Kings Cup, the Copa Del Rey. The draws look like a favour to the big boys as they were handed what looks like a fair tie that entails progression from this round.

Alcorcon and Alaves have made club history by reaching this round for the first time ever.

                                                      

Here's a quick review on how the teams fared in the last round.

Real Sociedad defeated Villarreal 4-2 on aggregate to secure a place in the next round. The last round also saw Alcorcon defeat Cordoba 2-1 on aggregate to progress.
Promoted side Alaves saw the away rule in their favour as they edge past Deportivo La Coruna after the tie ended 3-3.

Defending Champions Barcelona sweated through their pants to see off the second most successive side in the competition Athletic Bilbao to book a place in the quarters after the game ended 4-3 on aggregate at the Nou Camp.

Eduardo Berizzo's in form side Celta Vigo ease past struggling Valencia 6-2 on aggregate to announce their arrival in the next round. It took Eibar a fierce goalless draw at the Ipurua to eliminate Osasuna by a 3-0 aggregate scoreline after they won the first leg at the Estadio El Sadar.

Zinedine Zidane's men booked a place in the next round after fighting it out with Jorge Sampaoli's Sevilla 6-3 on aggregate in what was seen as the game of the rounds while Atletico Madrid tasted home defeat in the hands of Las Palmas before booking a spot in the draws table after the tie ended 4-3 on aggregate.
