PORT HARCOURT UNDER SOOT HAZARD

Have you noticed the recent darkening nature of the atmosphere in Port Harcourt? Actually, the city is currently under an atmospheric pollution. It is difficult to differentiate between evening, morning and early hours of the day in Port Harcourt. The air is black and polluted from what is suspected to be an excessive illegal combustion and environmental experts say constant intake of the air can lead to several forms of cancer. 

 

Therefore, it has been advised that every one try as much as possible to stay indoors or possibly use a nose mask when going out.

Part of the information broadcasted on radio for the Port Harcourt people is that they always wash their cups, plates and every utensils before they make use of it so as to avoid further health challenging issues. Citizens of Port Harcourt has also expressed their fear and dissatisfaction regarding this issue calling on the Gov't to act possibly fast to stop this hazard.

However, a social media campaign has been launched with the hashtag #stoopthesoot so as to reach the appropriate channels and those incharge at the helm of affairs to heed the cry of the Port Harcourt people and do something fast about this deadly epidermic.
