Chaos As Family Members Rejects Casket Meant For Mother's Burial (Videos)

Tiv Kingdom, Benue State - Son throws away Casket meant for his mother's burial ceremony. 

According to a Facebook user who had first hand experience about the incident, sons of a deceased mother rejected and threw away a casket brought by their son in-law from Wannue Tarkaa to Tombo Mbatie, Buruku area of Benue state.

As the TIV tradition demands, when a mother or a father dies, the first female child who is married is saddled with the responsibility to make provision for a casket for the burial of any of the deceased parents.

As tradition demands, the first female child with her husband who is a son in-law to the deceased mother is saddled with the responsibility to provide the casket to be used to bury his mother-in-law, but because the casket wasn't up to standard, the family rejected it and threw it out the compound.

According to the family of the deceased, they said the casked isn't beautiful and too poor to bury a member of their family.
