The DSS Issue Warning To Nigerians Over Hate Speech and Tribal Conflict

Nigerian Politics - DSS Issues steep warning to Nigerians trying to incite war and chaos. 

The Direct Secret Service (DSS) today released an official statement through their Twitter handle to Nigerians who are contemplating on inciting war and chaos after the just concluded 2023 general elections. 

This warning come off as a threat to anyone who wants to lead a group of thugs, tribe or religion to carry out a insurgence against the government. 

Following numerous peaceful protest going on across the country, the DSS deemed it fit to issue a steep warning to anyone or group who would incite tribal war, chaotic protest, hate speech, peddling of fake news, anarchy and all kinds of false narratives to ignite violence.

However, while this information was not taken with a pinch of salt, many Nigerians didn't find it satisfactory because it raises an eyebrow as a form of support to a certain group of persons who have already fallen short of the warning.

It would be recalled that the Service had earlier advised political players to abide by the rules of engagement as well as approach the courts for redress, if and where there are suspicions of infractions on extant electoral laws.

Be that as it may, the DSS will not tolerate a situation where persons and/or groups take laws into their hands and champion anarchy. Those peddling fake news, hate speech and all forms of false narratives as basis to ignite violence...

It is otherwise disturbing to see respected personalities use their platforms to mislead or incite citizens. This, to say the least, does not augur well for peaceful coexistence and general order.
