ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE GLOBE SOCCER AWARDS

The 7th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards will take place on December 27th, 2016, in Dubai. Famous celebrities and prestigious nominees from the soccer world will once again attend the yearly event.

In the previous edition, Lionel Messi was awarded – for the first time by Globe Soccer – best number ten of the world and, just like Cristiano Ronaldo in the preceding year, he went on to receive the FIFA Ballon d’Or two weeks later, on January 11th, 2016.

The last edition, while having Barcelona and Spain as its main characters, also awarded the careers of two great champions, Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard, the best referee of the year Irmatov and the best manager Marc Wilmots, thanks to the first place he earned in FIFA’s ranking managing Belgium’s national team.
Benfica F.C. managed to win the award for their efforts with the youth sector, and another Portuguese, Jorge Mendes, achieved the amazing feat of winning the Best Agent Award for the sixth year in a row, over six editions.

The big news of 2015 came from the Gulf area, with Kooora.com and thousands of fans crowning Yasir Al Shahrani Best GCC Player of the Year. This public poll, a regular event of the Global Soccer Awards, lasted two months and involved 66 candidates from 6 countries.

In 2016, the news will come from China, with the Best Chinese Super League Player Award, powered by Sina Sports, the number one provider of sports news in China. The partnership with Kooora.com has been extended, with the addition of the Best GCC Club of the Year Award, to be elected once again by the fans from the Gulf. Just like every year, Globe Soccer will celebrate soccer’s key players, with Real Madrid’s footballers as the main contenders for the awards, thanks to the team’s amazing season.
