Luis Enrique has announced he is leaving FC Barcelona at the end of the season.
According to Enrique, "I am tired, I need to rest, Let someone else try", these were his exact words during his presser this evening. It wasn't long, after the Atleti game, Enrique said, "the team has been so reliant on Messi and we hope it lasts forever". Something was fishy. However, the news has been confirmed on the club's official twitter handle.

The Barcelona manager made his intentions public during his post-match presser after the Barcelona Vs Sporting Gijon game. According to the players, he had already told them of his decision before they went on for the game against Sporting Club Gijon at the Nou Camp.

Enrique has been on the critic side lately after things turned sour for his Barcelona team in recent weeks. They lost drastically to Paris Saint Germain and the team trail fierce rivals Real Madrid by a point in the League with Madrid having a game in hand.
During their last league game at home to Leganes, Enrique was booed by the fans while others chanted his name; they won the game by 2-1, thanks to a late Messi goal. With their recent style of play, it is been suggested that Barcelona have lost their identity and as such team has been tagged as "end of an era"; ever since they revolutionized from their intimidating tiki taka football to direct means which is more reliant on the brilliance of the forwards. To be sincere, this Barcelona team has been terrible this season. They grind out results and manage to stay safe at the back with their shaky defense and dilapidated midfield.
The midfield has been under chop and change recently and the team seem to have lost their rhythm. Iniesta is not what he used to be and Sergio Busquets is ageing gradually. Generally, the team is made up of ageing legs. Surprisingly, teams have found a way to better Barca in their own game, the pressing and midfield build up. The fate they suffered against teams like Bilbao, Atleti and Paris Saint Germain.
According to the Club President, Josep Maria Bartomeu, "Luis Enrique has brought us great success and he can still bring us more. The players are motivated to do it".

However, Enrique has more time to right his wrongs and continue with the team before leaving, hopefully, they overturn the deficit against a resilient PSG side in the Champions League...but as history has it; No team has overturned a 4-nil deficit in European football.
