GLOBE SOCCER AWARDS: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Incase you missed it: The eight (8th) edition of the prestigious annual Globe Soccer Awards is up again, this time at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort.  The event is scheduled to take place by 6:00pm GMT, 5:30pm UTC and 9:30pm GST.

This years awards line-up saw the very best up against each other for the grande prize; earlier on, Atletico Madrid Argentine Manager Diego Pablo Simeone was given a honorary award for the 'Master Coach Special Award' in recognition for his heroics with the Atleti side.

The event is lived up with legends like Carles Puyol, Francesco Totti and FIFA President Gianni Infantino all in attendance for the awards plenary session.

The list will be displayed and the winner announced during the awards.

However, the award candidates have been chosen by the Globe Soccer jury, which includes international footballing coaches, directors and chairmen. Each year the shortlist for the Best Club of the Year Award have been drawn up by the European Club Association.
