David Plugged 2018: How it went down in Port Harcourt

The city of Port Harcourt recorded a huge entertainment rejuvenation in the past weeks with series of events lined up for the festive period. 

First, it was the movement 'Port Harcourt Sabi The Tin' hosting an open air music fiesta at the Port Harcourt Mall (SPAR); two days after Wizkid and Mr 2kay hosted a charity show at the Polo club followed by the long awaited hyped show "The Plugged " which featured the OBO himself Davido entertaining his Port Harcourt fans. 

The turn up for plugged was second to none as the city of Port Harcourt and beyond made way to the Port Harcourt Pleasure Park for the event,  but,  the event didn't end well.

It was a shambolic show of mediocrity,  thuggery,  theft and all manner of social ills including cultism as the star artist was forced to step down stage twice consecutively.  

So at the Davido concert today some cult boys tried to rape a girl she literally had to run to our tables at the vvip before they let her go. They tore her shirt she was bare naked. They were even Challenging the Mopol men around us like why are you helping her. Ph is mad 🤦‍♀️

David wasn't allowed to perform on stage peacefully following the incessant and uncontrollable crowd wanting to hop on the stage and get recognition.  However,  with the help of security operatives,  it was put under control.  

Davido couldn't even perform cause they were fighting and disrupting him. FUCKING idiots broke the stage and were basically fighting security guards. Now i know why events never hold here & celebrities don't come. Port Harcourt ISN'T SAFE for ANYONE https://t.co/5gECfDZWcr

Nevertheless,  that didn't stop the practice of theft,  attempted rape and other sort of crimes within and around the event premises.  People's phones were stolen,  hair,  gold chains and other valuables.  

According to eye witness reports,  the rate at which the crime was exhibited was disgraceful to degrade the image of the good and hospitable people of Port Harcourt . 

The state was totally de- marketed yesterday, The truth is ph is not a safe place, the truth is most youths here are not exposed, the truth is most people here are touts, the truth is youths here pride in cultism!

Irrespective of the hitch, the event recorded a huge success and the turn up was awesome.
