Four Four Two Football Awards 2018.

According to one of the leading Sports magazines, Four Four Two,  year 2018 has been an awesome year in Football;  hence they came up with a Football magazine award.

It's categories feature: Manager of the Year,  Star of the Year,  Super signing of the Year,  Goal of the year and many others.

Here are the winners of the award.
1. Manager of the year

Gareth Southgate : England
His appointment as England manager two years ago was deemed underwhelming by many. However, now he's made the Three Lions whole again. Taking them to the Semi-finals of the world cup where they lost to runners up Croatia.

2. Superstar of the year

Kylian MbappĂ© : France/PSG
Most startlets would see winning the World Cup as a good time to sit back and take stock, but it has just made him even hungrier. The youngster just turned 20; in that time he won the Young Player in the World, Young best player in the World Cup,  4th best player in the Balloon D'or rankings.

3. Goal of the year

Gareth Bale: Wales/Real Madrid
Everyone remembers where they were when Bale lit up May's #UCL finals with his stunning strike against Liverpool. It might not have won FIFA's award for 2018's best goal, but it certainly won the award for Four Four Two goal of the Year.

4. Signing of the year

Virgil Van Dijk: Netherlands/Liverpool
When VVD made his megabucks move to Liverpool from Southampton in January, many doubted he'd live up to the price tag. But years of knockbacks mean he's used to silencing the doubters. He has since then become a stalwart for Klopp's defence line.

5. Man of the year

David Silva: Spain/Manchester City
David Silva played a crucial role as Manchester City waltzed to their third Premier League title in 2018 - not that matters on the pitch were the pass master's main concern. Age is not a barrier,  Silva is Guardiola's linchpin in the heart of midfield.  And they look on course for a fourth league title.

6. English player of the year

Lucy Bronze: England/Lyon
Sure Harry Kane won World Cup Golden Boot and Fran Kirby did the double with Chelsea, but Lucy Bronze has had an incredible year. She won the league and the Women's Champions league with Lyon.
Now, the 2019 Women's World Cup is in her sights.

7. Fans of the year
Jose & Cesar: Columbia
Two men caught the eye more than most at the World Cup - deaf-blind Colombia supporter Jose Richard followed his nation's games using a unique signing system devised with best bud Cesar.

8. Crisis club of the year

Sporting CP: Portugal
4 managers, 1 cup final defeat and a terrifying ground riot that led to several star players terminating their contracts - it hasn't exactly been a stellar year for Sporting.

9. Underdogs of the year
Croatia & Ivan Perisic
It's been a busy year for Perisic. Not only has the winger propelled Inter back into the #UCL he also fired Croatia into the World Cup final after turning down #MUFC.

10. Comeback of the year

Hardlife Zvirekwi: Zimbabwe
He may have tackled Mane and Mo Salah, but the defender's biggest challenge has come off the pitch. Despite losing his left hand in a car crash, it hasn't ended his career. He still plays active football with CAPS United FC in Zimbabwe .

Also,  Four Four Two is on a countdown on the Best players in the world.  Be sure to get an update when the count down is done.
