A native of Opobo, Datuwo Pepple recounts how it's going to be difficult for the Opobo people during this period as the sea level has risen above land structure. "I think our rivers needs dredging because I fear if it increases more than this, we will loose our beloved kingdom."
Currently, parts of the beautiful and historic city of Opobo has been flooded and it's only a matter of time before the other parts get caught up in the flood and when that happens; it'll mean everyone starts packing out from the town.
I plead with the State Government, the NDDC nd other relevant authorities to come to our aid and do something before it gets out of hand.
