Leicester City Football Club have announced that they have parted ways with their First team Manager Claudio Raneiri. Raneiri led them to their first ever Premiership title in May, 2016; after which they went on to qualify for their first UEFA Champions League.
Leicester however made a very first impression in the competition by loosing just once in their group stage game to FC Porto on the final day after already securing a spot in the round of 16. They had the best record for a first timer team to the competition and for any Premier League side who has graced the competition by finishing top of their group.

It went from bad to worse when Leicester could not register a single goal in 2017 in the English Premier League and has already dropped out of the EFL Cup and the FA Cup after loosing to League One side, Millwall.
They went on to loose to Spanish side Sevilla in the UEFA Champions league 2-1 away at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Raneiri was appointed the Club's first Manager in July 2015 and according to the Vice Chairman, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, it was a very difficult decision for them to make.
Here are his best quotes:
“This has been the most difficult decision we have had to make in nearly seven years since King Power took ownership of Leicester City. But we are duty-bound to put the Club’s long-term interests above all sense of personal sentiment, no matter how strong that might be".
“Claudio has brought outstanding qualities to his office. His skilful management, powers of motivation and measured approach have been reflective of the rich experience we always knew he would bring to Leicester City. His warmth, charm and charisma have helped transform perceptions of the Club and develop its profile on a global scale. We will forever be grateful to him for what he has helped us to achieve".
“It was never our expectation that the extraordinary feats of last season should be replicated this season. Indeed, survival in the Premier League was our first and only target at the start of the campaign. But we are now faced with a fight to reach that objective and feel a change is necessary to maximise the opportunity presented by the final 13 games.”
The club resumes preparations on Saturday for their game against Liverpool on Monday and the club has appointed Assistant Manager Craig Shakespeare and First Team Coach Mike Stowell to take charge for now until a new manager is appointed. Meanwhile Assistant Manager and First Team Coach Paolo Benetti and First Team Sport Science and Conditioning Coach Andrea Azzalin have also parted ways with the club on mutual consent.
For the records; Raneiri won the BBC Manager of the year awards and the FIFA Best Manager of the Year 2016 while Leicester City won the Four-Four Two Team of the year and the BBC Team of the year awards in 2016.
