RONALDO VOTED WORLD'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PLAYER ONLINE

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the "World's Most Influential Player Online in China beating rivals Mesut Ozil and team mate Gareth Bale to Second and Third place respectively.

 

The Real Madrid Star who joined Twitter in 2010 and launched his online presence in China just in May 2016 has already accumulated over 50 million twitter followers. The votes came from over 806million monthly active users on social media in China. Therefore, Shanghai based consultancy Mailman's sixth annual Red Carpet found Cristiano Ronaldo's online engagement in China to be 10 times more than any other footballer in the world.

The yardstick to measuring this analysis was: 

Followers

Online presence  and 

Digital engagement.

Moreso, Ronaldo's rival Messi is missing and was not even ranked among the top five influential players online because he only has an active Instagram account and a Facebook Page. Thereby his online presence in China is not recorded.
