MUSA TO FACE TWO MATCH BAN FOR ASSAULT ON REFEREE
Sokoto United player Muttaba Musa will not be eligible for selection when his team play host to visiting Kaduna United on match day eight (8) in the Northern Conference of Bet9ja Nigeria National League .
The player has been banned by the NNL for two games following reports of assault against him in the last away tie to Jigawa Golden Stars at the Hadeijia Township Stadium, where he slurred the first Assistant referee, after he was shown a red card on the 79th minutes by the center referee.
Muttaba head-butted the center referee on receiving the marching order, but for the quick intervention of Security personnel on ground the matter would have been worse.
The disciplinary committee of the NNL says Muttaba Musa’s two match ban will see him miss match day nine (9) in the Conference for the violent conduct against the match official at the weekend.
