#TheBest #FIFAFootballAwards took place at the London Royal Festival Hall in London, UK. Football legends made their way to the event where Brazilian Cafu, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Diego Forlan, Roberto Carlos Pablo Aimar and Rene Higuita all graced the red carpet.
The event kicked off by 6:55 CET and music entertainers for the night Noel Gallagher and Michael Dapaah aka 'The Shaq' were present to thrill the fans. Meanwhile, #TheBest Women nominees, Marta, Maroszan and Hegerberg were on the interview hot seat with FIFA TV where #TheBest Men nominees, Mo Salah and Luka Modric also cooled off with the FIFA TV crew.
The event was hosted by Hollywood Papi, Idris Elba who stunned the audience with his funny antics and charming looks; not to forget his sublime intonation and charisma that made the event top-notch.

Earlier today, Hodi Africa won the FIFA Diversity award for their work in training and inspiring young girls in football.
Other star players who have made it to the event include: Kylianne Mbappe, Sergio Ramos, Ngolo Kante, Dani Alves, Marcelo, Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, German Coach Joachim Loew and France coach Didier Deschamps. Chelsea and Ivorian legend Didier Drogba was also present.

#TheBest FIFA Women's coach of the Year: Reynald Pedros. He won the Women's champions league with Olympique Lyonnaise.
#TheBest FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year: Real Madrid and Belgium Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. His heroics at the 2018 FIFA World cup in Russia paid off.
#TheBest FIFA Young Player of the Year award: PSG and France wonder-kid, Kyliane Mbappe. He joins the likes of Messi (2007), Ronaldo (2005) and Sergio Ramos (2004) who has won the award.Mbappe scored 4goals and gave 2 assists at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Brazilian and Orlando Pirates Women forward Marta was crowned #TheBest FIFA Women's Player of the Year while Real Madrid and Croatia midfielder Luka Modric won #TheBest FIFA Men's player of the Year besting Ronaldo and Salah to distant second and third spot.
Modric who had a stellar year, won the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid and took his Croatia team to the finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia scoring 2goals and giving 2assists in the tournament.
Absentees: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi: Both were on the FIFPro World Gala XI.
